I bought this book in hopes it would help me attract a tribe of women. It is mainly for your CURRENT tribe.... which I don’t love. As a mom and adult it is hard to make new “Mom friends”. I didn’t get what I was looking for out of the book.

I respect what the author is trying to do! Truly - I am a huge fan of the self help genre and I was really hoping for something new and interesting that would create a breakthrough in my personal life. However...it's just not good. The writing isn't good, the format isn't good. No one is actually going to create these ultra-structured tribes. I feel like the book was marketed completely differently and not what I expected. It's the same rinse-and-repeat very basic step 1 self help advice I could have told you myself. If I could return it, I would.

I have big goals and I can’t do it alone. I struggled to make deep connections with women for the past five years. I never knew what to say, I was afraid of being judged.No need to stress, this book lays it all out for you.It’s meant to be read with your “tribe.” Together you will go through different topics and discussions. The book includes how to genuinely invite people, scripts of what to say and questions to ask. You’ll grow together but also individually as you have a safe space to share thoughts, ideas and challenges. Your tribe is meant to lovingly challenge, encourage and hold you accountable. This isn’t magic, you have to commit and put in the work.It’s fantastic that this book gives you a guideline to take action on. There’s a lot of books out there that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but no call to action and you forget about it a week later. This is everything I have been looking for!

I purchased this book thinking it was going to be similar to any other self-development book in that it gives you the inspirational kick you need along with the practical tools but it was so much more than that. This book was an overall experience. An experience of getting to know the author through the lens of her own perceptions of her struggles with relationships from childhood, an experience of gathering other women to build a tribe that empowers you to live your best life and an experience of getting to know who you are beyond who you thought you were. You are so much more than the roles you play in each relationship. She was able to deliver all of this in a light hearted way. This book made me laugh, wet my eyes and inspired me all at the same time. My group of mastermind ladies each have a copy and it has helped us to connect even deeper than we already do. It is a very fast and easy read because of how connected she helps you to feel with each word. This is a MUST on your bookshelf. The cover even makes a nice decor item, just sayin'. =)

This book is everything I've been searching for. I've cried, laughed, been overwhelmed with grief, happiness and excitement all while learning valuable lessons about how we can't make it on our own. We all need multiple soul connecting relationships for every aspect of our life in order to elevate ourselves to our highest self. Tribe and friendships are so important to the success of each and every one of us. The beauty of everything you learn in this extraordinarily written book is that you don't already have to have friends or a tribe because Lori gives you the tools to create a tribe of soul sisters from scratch. Never have I felt more connected with an author of a book than I do to Lori Harder. She is real, raw, passionate, inspiring, smart and beautiful inside and out. This is a must read over and over again book.

As other reviewers have said with 1-3 stars. This book isn't as described. You will not learn how to create new real connections. You need to already have a tribe. Instead, you're getting a poorly written self improvement book that lacks depth.I wasn't looking for a self improvement book so it felt like a bait and switch. I'd return if I could.There are WAY BETTER self improvement books out there that... The Four Agreements, A New Earth, etc.

Love this book. I was able to create my tribe with 2 other fabulous ladies!! God is doing amazing things in our Tribe. I love the scripts if don’t really know what to say. I enjoy the humor throughout the book. We are half way through the book. I would recommend even if not able to read it with a tribe. I recommend this book often to my friends and acquaintances that are wanting sisterhood.

This book and Lori Harder has been such a HUGE blessing and life changing experience for me and my life. I just finished reading it alone and I'm restarting it now as I form my tribe. I've sent 2 books to friends as well and the tribe is forming! This self awareness, self love journey is a bumpy ride, but being able to have the tools to get through it and the how to build and maintain a tribe is beyond amazing. Great job on this book Lori and I can't thank you enough for all of the amazing podcast episodes you have created, I listen almost daily! You rock girl and I hope to meet you in person some day. 💗

I will say right now, I am an "optimistic skeptic". I can not say that I think these creatures exist. But I hope they do. This book has been the most thoughtful tome on this subject that I have read. Gone are the histronics and hype. Just plain and simple "Here it is." Thom is a very intelligent well spoken man and he comes off as sincere and believable. I completely enjoyed this read and I think you will too.

While this book has some really good info about Sasquatch, there were parts I wasn't so interested in reading. The part I found most interesting is Chapter 11 Vision about the eyes of us, Sasquatch and other animals. I also enjoyed the parts regarding telepathic communication with Sasquatch. Now I am currently reading his, "Seventy Years On The Mountain".

Thom Cantrall has lifted the discussion surrounding the Sasquatch people to a whole new level. I am grateful for this down-to-earth and sensitive presentation of both his encounters and those of others. My only complaint is that I wanted the book to go on for many, many more pages! Hopefully, we will see Volume 2 in the near future. The illustrations by Alex Evans are elegant and deeply enhance the concepts within this book.When people evolve to be open to the existence of these Beings we will grow in understanding. We may learn just as much about who WE are as who the Sasquatch people may be. It's an exciting time and Thom has done a terrific job of presenting this critically important information. I hope this book is widely read and contemplated.I applaud you Thom, Alex, and all the contributors to this wonderful book. I am ready for a second read through!

Thom did a great job on the book. Highly recommend. Won't give too much away. I have talked to Thom and he is a down to earth person that has had actual encounters multiple times. Very few books on Sasquatch are made by experiencers so it is a very unique and honest perspective.

Great book, it has great encounters but it could use some editorial review (dotting the i's and crossing the t's, etc.) Great content.

very interesting, mr Cantrell is a very interesting person writes well, I wish the book was longer.

I was very happy with this book. I loved all the different stories of interactions with the BF. Thom did a great job.

There are some interesting story lines and first person accounts here. The author is not a polished writer though and some of the metaphors are over the top.

This is an outstanding read.So much information, so well researched with an incredible amount of first hand accounts it will become the bible on Prince for this period of his career. You are able to imagine being a fly on the wall which is an amazing achievement . If you love Prince and need to read everything you can get your hands on then this is the book for you.If you want to get a true insight as to what this enigmatic genius was like - particularly during his ascent to superstardom- then this book is a must read.I just hope that the author gets the opportunity to document other periods of Prince’s life in the same manner.Thank you for this masterpiece Mr Tudhal

I received my book on Thursday and well, I called in sick to work yesterday and I finished it this morning. Now I am reading it again, but this time will take it a bit more slowly and let it sink in.I have been a fan of Prince since the first time I saw him at First Ave. Oct. 5 1981. His leaving us last year was devastating for me, I still can not talk about him on a personal level, it is that painful a year and a half later. However, reading this book was amazing, I was like a fly on the wall of the studio, unnoticed while he recorded some of his most incredible work. And while at moments I felt tears welling up as his associates discussed things like his sense of humour, it brought back so many wonderful memories of those magic years of 1983 and 1984 in Minneapolis.This is the first book about Prince that I have read, perhaps ever, that had completely new information about Prince, while pretty much everything else out there is a just a rehash of the same information with a couple of new quotes here and there. This book provided great insight into how Prince created music and how music created him. Learning how he spent New Years Eve 1983, after the year he had, well that alone was worth the price of admission.While some may say that this book is for really hard core fans, I say fiddle faddle to that (well actually I say something a bit different that starts with the same first letter...). This book is a wonderful read for fans and non fans alike, as it chronicles arguably the greatest musician, performer, composer and recording artist of the 20th century as he goes from a cult hero to the most popular entertainer on earth. The focus is on his work and I doubt that one will find another artist since Mozart that worked so hard and such long hours, and like Mozart, it would seem that it was not work for him. After reading this book it became obvious to me that for Prince not to be recording his music was as impossible for him as it would be for him not to breath. It inspires and leaves me in awe of the man.The book is obviously a work of pure love from the author versus so many other obvious quick cash grabs. It provides oodles of details, but not in some dry fire scorched manner, but instead telling the story with the same passion and depth that Prince put into his music. Scholarly work, no doubt, I can only imagine the decades of research the author put into this book and that would have been enough, but he also proves to be an excellent story teller. A rare combination.My sincere thanks to the author for bringing Prince back for me. Get the book, put on Purple Rain, Ice Cream Castles, The Glamorous Life, and Apollonia 6 and loose yourself in Prince's world.Amazon, where is the pre-order link for the next book??? I can't wait.

"The condition I've got" for this book "is crucial...."Duane Tudahl's exceptional book is not only required reading for any self-called Prince "fam," but recording artists, producers and engineers ought to keep this nearby at all times for reference material.Tudahl's research is exceptional. The focus remains squarely on the creative process of Prince's music from the end of 1983 until the end of 1984, but of course inferences to Prince's personal life and how it informed his process are included.Everything is rich in detail, totally relevant and encyclopedic. At the same time it is a compulsively fun, fascinating and entertaining read. When the book ended, I was ready to move on to Prince's next year in the studio...and sad when I couldn't!!if Mr. Tudahl is able to continue with additional volumes - and I personally am pulling for him to be able to - they will be the definitive portrait of an artist that left us way too soon. This is just a brilliant piece of work. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I have been a rabid Prince fan since I first heard his music at age 10. This book is probably one of the most enlightening I have ever read. This book is not a biography of his life. It details the work he did creating music from 1982 to 1985, a period that many consider one of his most prolific and commercially successful. We all know that he was a musical genius. What this books give you a glimpse into is the tremendous work ethic this man had. Sometimes there were songs that were completed in a single night. But there were also songs he worked on for months and sometimes years! The Prince you see here is not a moody and distant person, but a warm and caring man who clung to those he chose to bring into his inner circle. We see a man who was the embodiment of music and, painfully, really only knew how to relate to people through music. There are times the books lets us glimpse Prince's utter confusion that someone would not want to get out of bed at 2 AM to come to a studio and listen to his latest tracks. For those fans deeply into the music of the 1999 and Purple Rain era, there is gold here seeing him shape those songs in preparation for the movie. The rift with the Time is covered in here also. I had no idea that Morris Day had left the group even before Purple Rain debuted in theaters. Unfortunately, this monstrous work ethic and complete emersion in music did not allow any of his close friends to keep up and left him alone in the end. Prince was a searcher and followed his musical passions wherever they lead him. We see in this book that by the time Purple Rain came out, even after inventing a completely new musical sound, Prince was finished with it and was moving on to different creative styles. The book itself is hardcover and very sturdy.If you are looking for a general biography of Prince's life this book is not it. If you want to delve deeply into the creative process of one of music history's greatest voices, then you will enjoy this one.

Great read. I strongly recommend to the technical architect solution, data architect, developer and administrator not just business, operations, finance and legal. It gives the reader a holistic view to customer relation manager and sales force automation implementation. It takes the reader in a journey from top 10 list worst practices in agile project to how to understand politics environment surrounding SFDC to best practices in sale, marketing, customer support, finance & legal and IT. My back ground is technical, David in this book brought the science to CRM. I say that because I found these best practices discussed in this book could work in any other CRM cloud solution implementation beside salesforce. Great attention to detail and I founded very helpful. David ask the right questions and highlight the risk at every stage of the implementation. I founded useful for project management and partner consultant as well. I thought project estimate section in chapter 1 more than payed for this book.

This book was recommended to me by two other trusted consultants in the Salesforce ecosystem. I am very grateful they gave me heads up. SFDC - Secrets of Success is the essential SFDC consultant's manual. It is comprehensive in scope and packed with implemented best practices.Highly valuable (and invaluable) experience shared!Plus more available on the author's website for more resources to bookmark too.

Great for any #AwesomeAdmin, org manager, or Sales Ops team member to keep handy at your desk. You won't read it cover to cover, but as you implement different processes and features, this book is the go-to reference for Sales and Marketing best practices. Even if the use case in the book doesn't match your situation, it will definitely give you things to think about and gotchas.

Still reading, good book, very detailed, but very dry reading and mind numbing.

This book showed a clear sky for new to sfdc to plan their journey with salesforce, highly recommended. Especially the best practices.

Good Blueprint before the deep dive.

First, an honest admission. I haven't yet read this book. I ordered two copies today, one for me and one for a coworker. I have however read the first edition. It has highlighting throughout and dog eared pages. I am very much looking forward to new advice and expanded content.There are thousands of pages of advice available in books and online about Salesforce.com. A lot of it is disjointed, disorganized, or badly written. This book is the best place to start.It's not about the application.It's about what you need to do. It's about the fundamental best practices that will give you the best business results from using the application. It's about applying the science of total quality principles and process optimization to the (still...) arts of marketing and selling.It's about why you need to do it. The book addresses the change management issues. What are the benefits for the wide range of Salesforce.com stakeholders: executives, manager, users? What are the business and personal results you can achieve?It's about how you do it. It's almost a checklist for implementation or audit of an existing system.Many business books have 20 pages of ideas crammed into 300 pages. This is not one of those books.

A very well written guide to implementing salesforce.com. Only reason it doesn't get five stars is because the website it refers to is incomplete. :(

As a big fan of the Panerai brand, I found in this book the perfect blend of art and information- a true reflection of the tool watch it is dedicated to covering: form meets function. Filled with striking photographs of some amazing timepieces, the book also gives a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes at the factory, showing photos of some of the watches going through the rigorous tests they must pass before being sent to their final homes. It's great fun to see those who have never heard of the brand peruse the book, and instantly become enamored with the huge watches with the funny crown guard. All of a sudden, the conversation turns from 'what is that?', to 'where can I get one?!' Overall, this book is for and by those who are passionate about the brand, and find in a utilitarian tool, a true piece of art.

VERY NICE BOOK

Very detailed. A nice coffee table book.

This is a huge heavy book--your typical "coffee table" book--in size. The good news--it provides an adequate history of Panerai, with some interesting pictures to accompany the text, pictures of the major players in the company, pictures of the various sea-related pursuits the watches were originally intended for, over the course of the many decades that Panerai has operated, and a few pictures of a few watches, and their parts over the years. Here's the bad news--it isn't worthy of occupying space on your coffee table, or your book shelf for that matter--there just aren't enough PICTURES to make it worthwhile. You can do a web search for "Panerai" using the engine of your choice, click on "images" and you will see more and generally as good or better pictures of the various Panerai watches that have been produced since the company's inception. I love Panerai watches, and currently own two of them. I frequent various watch forums on the web, and am always eager for more information, and more "eye candy" (pictures of Panerai watches). This book was an incredible disappointment--a complete and utter wasted of money. The text is really too short to stand alone as a good historical piece, and the pictures are too few to be of any real significance to anyone. I hate to say this, but you can see more, and learn more, just by going to the Paneristi site and looking at their photo threads. Why waste your money on this book?

Great book, lots of photos that are covered elswhere, but it is nice to have it all together and to read the whole story, especially how modern Panerai’s re-started. (the story about the production before and after WWII was covered many times over)

When you think of a 'coffee-table' book, large and impressive, you are thinking of a book the size of this book on the equally impressive-sized watches, derived from diving watches. Simple, stunning and beautiful as the subject, this book will make you love your Panerai wristwatch even more. Here are photographs in vivid detail, beautiful shots and historical information on the brand. This is my favorite watch photography book by far!

In the late afternoon of a late summer day when the sun turns a room to amber, someone has left behind a thin book with an awkward name. It tells of heard, but unseen, things beyond the windows, of katydids and fiddling crickets.The author was, at the time, a young man during the Great Depression. He wrote of those days more than fifty years later with a clear mind and the lovely touch of a poet who worked in prose. He had been, in the early 1930's, an apprentice entomologist roaming the fields of Massachusetts. He not only noticed things most people rarely see. He sought those things out.He wrote well of humans, the old ones gathered nightly to watch the locomotive thunder by. He wrote equally well of cows "gloriously drunk" on long-fallen apples. But he wrote best of all about insects, of collecting crickets at night in a graveyard. He honored the locust, lauding their "tenure on Earth exceeding the period of occupation of human beings and an ability to compete successfully with people."Finally, he wrote movingly of summer shutting down and autumn nearing. He saw the once fresh and brilliant flowers fading to the "colors of the aged" and the "rough and tweedy" fields "as though an old brown woolen jacket had been thrown over them to ward off the chill."Above all, this overlooked book is about the virtues of listening and paying attention, hearing the hidden things that also have value in their lives, and in ours.

This book by the author of To Know A Fly recounts Dethier's experiences as a graduate student in the 1930's doing field research in New Hampshire on the sounds made by crickets, katydids, locusts, and grasshoppers.In order to make recordings of these "songs" it was first necessary to capture the insects and much of this book describes his work in the field tracking down all the local varieties in a wide range of ecologies. He also gives technical explanations of how the sounds are produced.The technology was not available at the time, but I found myself wishing throughout the book that I could actually hear the sounds while reading about them. A companion CD would be much appreciated!This book is interesting but lacks the charm of his other books, particuarly To Know a Fly and The Ecology of a Summer House.

Starting from the field laboratory at Franklin, New Hampshire and covering other areas in New England, Vincent Dethier introduces us to the rhythmic grace of the orthopterans. Each species of crickets, grasshoppers, katydids, etc. with their own songs to play while each individual played those songs with different styles. It is the 1930s at the time of the Depression. While at the field laboratories, Dethier who is a graduate student working with a professor during the summertime, record and interpret these songs. They work together to capture the songs of the unseen individuals in the fields. Behaviors of the orthopteran change as summer passes and autumn approaches, which are heard in the song they play for Mother Nature. This natural history book is written in a well-organized first person perspective.The moment I picked up this book, I did not have much knowledge or understanding of crickets nor did I know what katydids were. This was not just a book that an entomologist could enjoy. “Crickets and Katydidss, Concerts and Solos,” educated me on the subject of orthopterans in a more artistic approach. The text was written accurately but was slightly difficult to keep up with some vocabulary. Finishing the book had a very satisfying feeling and also relief. Some points were redundant and lost my attention for a bit but learned a lot on the behaviors or crickets, grasshoppers, and locust. This book has definitely changed my way of enjoying scenery and cricket chirps.The book is written like a personal journal and the way Dethier shows his perspective while changing yours is beautifully executed. I recommend this book if you want a chill read as a music lover but you must also have an interest in entomology.

As I write this, just before an October dawn, a lone cricket fiddles a lonesome song. At daybreak he'll yield to hungry katydids chomping on our outdoor plants. As I listen, I think back to the times I read and reread this remarkable book. I first learned of it many years ago from an obituary of the author, Vincent Dethier, a former zoology professor at UMass. The book is an enthralling account of insect sounds as spring and summer wane into autumn. Superbly written in a style familiar to devotees of old nature books, the descriptions flow as smoothly as maple syrup. I'll surely read it again and again. I hope you do too.
