This map is hard to read and not very detailed. The street I live on does not even appear as a line on the map. But the single worst design flaw is that the map is split between two sides, and when you flip it over in the natural direction, the opposite side is upsidedown. You'd expect the two sides of the map to be joined at the edge where one transitions to the other, but the back side is inexplicably printed in the opposite orientation. When dealing with locations near the boundary, this makes the map essentially unusable.
Can't recommend since when you flip it over, the map on the other side is upside down and you must rotate the map 180 degrees. Rely on your phone instead and you won't look like a tourist to the numerous and aggressive street people of San Francisco!
This is a very handy map, easy to carry, waterproof, but a little hard to read some of the street names. I guess you can't expect to have the compact size without some trade-off. I do recommend it.
Love that this map highlights top places in SF & is lamenated! Bought one for me & one for a gift for relatives visiting the Bay Area. Folds up nice without taking up a lot of room
1. It was easy to read - Streets were plainly marked and legible. 2. It was a good size, convenient to take with us, and use in the car. Helped us to find addresses we needed to know - worked well with our GPS. 3. It's in our permanent travel file. I would purchase another map when the occasion comes up. The 'plastic' cover kept it clean and readable.
It’s a great resource that has everything you need to navigate around San Francisco. We used it daily, while visiting. The only downside is it doesn’t include elevation.
Kept in my backpack during my entire visit - always knew where I was and where I was going!
This will be useful for our upcoming trip to The City by the Bay. Endorsed by previous inhabitants. Sturdy and legible.
