Very, very similar questions to the actual test! There are of course some surprises that the test will throw at you and 2 areas in particular that the book doesn't have enough questions on in my opinion (soil mechanics and unsaturated flow). That said, if you really understand how to do every single question in this book, you should have no trouble with the FE. I recommend also getting the practice test from NCEES. I prepped for about 4 days using this book and the NCEES practice test and passed the exam on my first try.
This book along with the NCEES practice exam were both very helpful for reviewing the FE Environmental exam. I spent about 3 months using both books to study before taking the exam and passed on my first go. I strongly recommend studying any topics this book and the NCESS practice exam do no cover! I was thrown off guard by the disinfection questions especially because I did not study that topic in depth. Good luck with your exam if you are reading this.
Definitely worth it for the price. I completed the book in the 2 days before my exam, 3 weeks after graduation, and passed on the first try. There were a couple typos/calculation errors, but I would say only 5 out of the whole book, but the questions were pretty consistent to what was on the exam and the solutions also helped.
The questions in this book are very similar to the types of questions in the FE. I used this book and another and passed the exam. BUT, there are alot of typos and at least one solution that I think is wrong. (I have a BS in ChemE and it was a Chemistry question)
Great practice book. there were 2 or 3 incorrect questions but overall it is a great book. I passed my FE the first try
helped me immensely. I passed the FE on the first try. It's organized exactly like the actual test.
Great book for practicing FE problems and this book was the reason I passed! The book even has the questions set up like the actual FE involving many unit conversions. Along with the questions are detailed solutions. I highly recommend this book!
